About Scarcity, Currency and Value

For Fiorucci Art Trust

A sensorial installation designed during the Nomad art and design fair in Montecarlo, Arabeschi di Latte were asked to create an installation and event at Nicoletta Fiorucci (Fiorucci Art Trust) house inside the historical Le Trocadero building.

The studio designed three totems to celebrate the relationship between food and money, through the concept of scarcity, currency and value. Placed on Opus tables designed by the studio Formafantasma, the totems were made from materials that represented Roman architecture such as stone and brass. The three interactive exhibits allowed guests to experience the story from different perspectives, whilst questioning social norms about what is considered ‘edible’.
