Super Normal Dinner

In occasion of  Jasper Morrison’s retrospective exhibition Thingness, Arabeschi di Latte collaborated with the designer and a local chef to produce a special event commissioned by La Grand Hornu Museum and hosted by Maison Folie in Mons . In line with the exhibition and Morrison’s work, Arabeschi di Latte designed a simple set made of basic materials like masonite boards and made a selection of Jasper Morrison’s products for the the table styling. A minimal dinner was served to guests using seasonal and local produce, as well as Jasper’s wine from his ‘Ormiale’ vineyard in Bordeaux. The ‘Super Normal’ dinner title and theme refers to Jasper Morrison’s exhibition curated with Naoto Fukosawa in 2006, which showcased simple and perfectly functional everyday products that are often taken for granted as ‘design’ objects.
