Installation for Brompton Design District, 2016
The Brompton Cocktail was an ancient elixir administered as palliative care to patients at the Brompton Hospital – a lethal mix of heroine, cocaine and alcohol. For the 10th anniversary of the Brompton Design District’s pioneering design programme, curator Jane Withers commissioned designers from the programme to create their own Brompton Cocktail – realisable or imaginary. The project included an exhibition installation by Arabeschi di Latte and a cocktail book by the Brompton Design District team.
Arabeschi di Latte created an installation supported by glassware brand Bitossi, which presented the Cocktail book and recipes within. Some of the participating designers: Martino Gamper, Apartamento, Tomas Alonso, Faye Toogood, Erika Muller and Kirsty Minns, Michael Anastassiades, DesignMarketo and more.
