Food and Time, a concept for Gaggenau, was devised by Disegno and Arabeschi di Latte in 2016.
How does time shape the food that we eat and the way in which we think about food culture?
Inspired by luxury brand Gaggenau and their 333 year history, Arabeschi di Latte created a series of recipes which explored food preparation processes, specifically processes which rely on the essential passage of time. The studio researched melting, maturing, ripening, slow cooking and fermenting. Then, these processes were narrated through a series of still-life photographs displayed as GIFs. The outcome was a series of recipes and visuals which illuminate the ways in which food can be transformed and shaped by time.
